Pearson has a Common Core solution for districts who have already implemented our North Carolina version or our Foundations Series. A Transition Kit will be made available to all current users of our program in the Summer of 2011. This Transition Kit will contain additional student lessons with teaching support for each lesson. An Overview and Implementation Guide will be available for the entire program which contains correlations, pacing guides and additional support for the transition to teaching the Common Core State Standards. This Transition Kit ensures full coverage of the Common Core State Standards for all current users of Prentice Hall Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2.

Pearson is developing implementation and transition support for users of CME Project to ensure successful transition to a Common Core State Standards-based curriculum. Resources include a Common Core Transition Kit with new Standards Activities and Transition Guides. Updated Benchmark Tests for cumulative assessment of the Common Core State Standards and Common Core State Standards updates in ExamView™, LessonView™, and Success Tracker™ will provide full assessment support for the Common Core State Standards. CME transition support will be available beginning November 2011.

The authors of the Common Core identified a number of plus (+) standards that represent advanced topics and expand upon the content learned in the core high school curriculum. The plus (+) standards are covered in Precalculus: Graphical, Numerical, Algebraic, 8th edition (Demana) throughout the textbook and the accompanying Transition Kit. The Transition Kit contains additional lessons and activities to provide coverage of the plus (+) standards, as well as correlations, and a discussion of the CCSS with respect to advanced courses such as Precalculus.
