For current users of the ©2010 edition, Pearson has created a Transition Kit to ensure full alignment of Prentice Hall MiddleGrades Mathematics to the Common Core State Standards. This Transition Kit includes an Overview and Implementation Guide and additional Student and Teacher Lessons for each grade level. The Overview and Implementation Guide contains correlations, pacing guides and additional support for the transition to teaching the Common Core State Standards. The final version of this Transition Kit along with all student lessons and teaching support will be available spring of 2011.
This preliminary Transition Kit contains information on how Prentice Hall Middle Grades Mathematics correlates to the Common Core State Standards and how the Standards for Mathematical Practice are developed throughout the program. A full Table of Contents for the final transition kit a pacing guide and a sample lesson are also included.
As a whole, the CMP2 curriculum covers all of the grades 6-8 Common Core State Standards. Additional Common Core State Standards investigations are available at each grade level to ensure exact grade level alignment. A Common Core Overview and Implementation Guide containing correlations, pacing guides and additional support for the transition to teaching the common core will also be available Spring 2011.
